The Grand Mithraeum, Sub Floor 2
The second sub level of The Grand Mithraeum is unknown to most citizens of Dane Caelen. It is here that the clergy keeps it’s secret jail. Those that are apprehended by the Silverhelms are likely to end up here. The first hall is for minor offenses and persons who the Lamanes feel are good targets for rehabilitation. The second hall is made to contain darker things and threats to the elven way of life. It is infrequently used now a days, though a dark mage was imprisoned there just three years prior. His body was found with hardly a mark upon it, however his skin had taken on a green pallor.

Wild Elf Cell
This cell holds Draknus, leader of a radical wild elf group that operates outside the city. They were arrested for killing two members of clergy while they were on the road returning to Dane Caelen. Draknus claims it was self defense.

Dezeldenian Cell
This cell holds Malkan, a Dezeldenian. For months, dead animals were found around the outside of The Grand Mithraeum. This was Malkan’s work. Malkan worships Braxult, Demon Goddess of death. He was a Mirlethian slave, forced to row their ships. He escaped when they were on their last crusade in the elven lands and made his way to Dane Caelen.
Malkan recognized The Grand Mithraeum and worshiped the only way he knew how. Only able to speak Dezeldenian, he was unable to explain when caught. He has now traded being the captive of Mirlethian’s for being the captive of the elves.

Acolyte Cell
This cell contains Kissen Alus. She is dressed in the robes of the elven clergy. The acolyte elf stole from the collection to buy wine, but was caught. She will be down here for a month before being put to hard physical labor. She is quite repentant and firmly believes she deserves the punishment.
Kissen uses the high elves acolyte stat block. The door can be opened with a DC 15 check to pick the lock or a DC 25 athletics check to force it open.
Chapel of Eimrag
Prisoners are occasionally taken to this room to pray for their own redemption. An alter sits by the wall, two candles adorning its top. Behind it, hanging on the wall, is a tapestry. It depicts Eimrag the Joyful in elven form, cradling a small child. The following is written across the top in elven: “Repent and be accepted back into his grace. Live your life not for yourself, but for all elves.”
Chapel of Drugal
This room is much like the one in area six. The tapestry depicts a different scene, however. This one depicts Drugal, Bringer of Wrath in elven form. She holds a scourge with many barbs. Under one of her feet lies a demon, blood flowing from it’s many wounds. The following is written across the top in Elven: “Drugal, punisher of the wicked shall follow you even in death, so strong is her retribution.”
There are also two gargoyle statues flanking the alter. They were created long ago to keep prisoners in and those without permission out. If a creature that has not been granted prior permission by Tynill Sylences attempts to enter the hall to the west, they will attack. The same is true if any prisoners not properly accompanied emerge from the hall into the room.
Dark Mage Cell
While the rest of the cells in this hall are empty, this one houses a strange participant. A dark mage was locked away here for his blasphemies. In an attempt to escape, the wizard summoned a demon known as a “Chimzu.” Instead of helping the elf, the Chimzu killed him for his arrogance. It has been unable to escape the cell itself, however.
It’s name is Grzz. It has hidden in the shadows of the cell for three years, eating rats to survive. It was easy to escape detection, as no one was in a rush to check on the cells former occupant. Grzz sees an opportunity in the PCs, however.
It will claim to know whatever information the PCs require in order to barter for it’s release. Possible offerings are the locations of specific items or where the PCs enemies lie. If Grzz is released, the demon will wait for the best moment to betray it’s saviors.
