I’m thinking players start with about 15 points to buy powers. You’ll also be awarded points as XP—so there won’t be any leveling, just points to spend to get more powers and improve current attributes. Do I know what XP will be rewarded for yet? Nope. Thus far, I’m considering

There were various references in the powers to taking control of other creatures. Let’s talk about how that works. For an action, you may roll the ability mentioned in the power. For instance, in the Primal power Speech of the Beasts, it says that you may attempt to control Beasts

Short one this week. Here are some tables of common actions in the game. Any character can also use an action to perform one of the move actions, though if they actually move a second time, they can only go half their normal distance. Primary Actions Action Description Attack The

Having adversaries and things to populate the world outside of the PCs was my biggest barrier to playtesting. Let’s be honest: the combat for this RPG functions very much like a skirmish game. This isn’t an accident. It’s a feature, not a bug. When tribes clash or PCs fight dinosaurs,

Weapons: They frequently use wickedly curved daggers, which they use for sacrificial purposes.
Soul Clouders: There is a 10% chance that any Vulture Priest can use the sleep spell once per day. The targets are still awake, but they are beset by such a deep depression that it has the same effect as sleep. They may only watch what unfurls around them.
